A security camera photo and a story on a local newspaper website were instrumental in the arrest of a man suspected of stealing a motorcycle at an Olivehurst bar.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a white 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle was stolen from outside Grumpy’s Tavern on Dec. 7. A security photo of two men inside the bar was posted with an appealdemocrat.com story.
The CHP received several tips from the public about the identity of the men in the photo. Officers followed up on the leads and one of them eventually led them to a Motel 6 in Linda.
Officers arrested Anthony Thomas Fisher, 42, of Marysville at the motel on Thursday on suspicion of vehicle theft. The motorcycle was recovered in Linda.

The Harley was not damaged or vandalized. It will be returned to its owner.
The CHP thanked the media and the community for their assistance.
