A program designed to encourage teenage drivers to consider the consequences of decisions made behind the wheel will be offered twice this week in Elk Grove.
Presentations of “Before the Impact,” a program provided by the Elk Grove Police Department and Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, are scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The sessions will be in the Elk Grove City Council Chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove.
They will cover topics such as distracted driving, including texting, talking with friends and eating, as well as driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or prescription or other drugs.
Teenagers are encouraged to attend with their parents or guardians.
