A motorcyclist killed Friday on a freeway connector has been identified as Daniel Montero, 28.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office said the Sacramento resident’s death has been initially classified as resulting from a crash, when he hit the rear of a vehicle on the ramp from westbound U.S. 50 to the northbound Capital City Freeway.
The accident happened about 4:50 p.m. A California Highway Patrol spokesman said two motorcycles were reported traveling at high speed, weaving in and out of traffic on westbound Highway 50. When they entered the connector to the Capital City Freeway, one of the motorcyclists struck the back of a Kia Rio, he said.
Bradley said he had no information on the other motorcyclist, who was not involved in the crash. He said authorities do not know whether the motorcyclists were racing.
