A 91-year-old woman who failed to return home Friday evening was found safe several hours later north of Woodland, according to Roseville Police Department spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther.
The woman was located around 10 p.m. through the vehicle tracking device OnStar, Gunther said. The device was not active at the time of her disappearance, but authorities requested that it be turned on when the woman went missing.
Police said Friday the woman, identified only as “Viola,” left her home in Sun City Roseville about 4:30 p.m. in her 2015 Buick Verano, and her family was concerned that she may have gotten lost.
