A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson and attempted murder following a fire that caused extensive damage to a mobile home.
The fire at the mobile home in Idle Wheel Estates on Bourn Drive was reported about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters contained the flames by 4 p.m.
Damage was estimated at $50,000 for the structure and $20,000 for contents of the home.
Fire officials were told that one of the residents had started the fire, according to a news release from police and fire officials.

Authorities said reports indicated that a man had discarded “smoking material” outside the home, while people were inside.
Investigators found that the fire started on the back porch of the residence and spread into the home. Officers arrested Ernesto Lane Morales, 65, of Woodland on suspicion of probation violation, arson and four counts of attempted murder.
