State corrections officials are looking for a minimum-security inmate who walked away from the Growerlersburg Conservation Camp near the El Dorado County community of Georgetown.
Deandrea J. Farlow was last seen in his assigned dorm about 8:45 p.m. Sunday during an informal count of inmates, according to a Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation news release. He was missing from a subsequent inmate count about 10:30 p.m. Area law enforcement agencies were notified and were assisting in the search for Farlow on Monday.
Farlow is described as African American, 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 195 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He was committed to the state prison system from Fresno County for second-degree robbery and assault with a firearm, authorities said. He was scheduled to be released on Oct. 23, 2019.
