The Asian American Journalists Association's Sacramento chapter is offering help to college students who are interested in pursuing careers in journalism this summer.
In partnership with The Sacramento Bee, the organization is offering a paid, 10-week internship at the paper for one of its student members nationwide, though a preference is granted to Sacramento members. The deadline for application, which can be found at www.aajasacramento.org, is March 15.
AAJA Sacramento also is offering $1,000 grants to student members who are interning at radio, broadcast or online outlets just for college credit or for little or no pay.
Applicants do not have to be Asian American to join AAJA or to apply for the programs.
