Twin Rivers Unified School District trustees on Tuesday night approved an additional $330,000 to complete a heating and air conditioning project for Grant Union High School.
School district staff asked for the emergency funds after workers found excessive damage from dry rot while removing old HVAC units from atop the school. The district is in the middle of a $3.5 million project to replace the school’s HVAC units, many of which were broken last year and left students to learn in cold classrooms.
District officials said the project is still on track to finish by the beginning of school in mid-August.
