“Parrihos” or partnership is the theme of this year’s Native American Day, the annual event dedicated to the preservation of native culture and traditions.

Visitors who stop by the State Capitol will be treated to cultural demonstrations, guest speakers, the Tule River Color Guard, traditional games, music, dancing, artisans, and information booths.

2013 Native American Day is co-sponsored by the State Tribal Liaisons of California, the California Department of Justice, the California Environmental Protection Agency, the State Indian Museum and California State Parks.
