Headed to Tahoe for the holiday weekend? Caltrans has done its part to clear the way for you.
The California Department of Transportation has suspended work on highway construction projects in South Lake Tahoe and along the lake’s western shore until after July 4.
The agency’s in the first year of a $57 million, three-year project on Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe from the intersection with Highway 88 to the Trout Creek Bridge. And a $70.1 million project is underway on Highway 89 from Tahoma to Tahoe City.
Also, Nevada County says it will suspend work on Highway 28 until after the holiday.
