The impact of Hurricane Sandy on local business and commerce has been fairly light.

At Sacramento International Airport, spokeswoman Laurie Slothower said the only flight she knew of being canceled due to the storm was the JetBlue Airways flight to Kennedy airport in New York.

Local fliers may have found that connecting flights in other cities were canceled. Slothower added: "We are still recommending customers traveling this week contact their airlines for flight status information."

Mike Testa, senior vice president of sales for the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau, noted that the only incident the bureau experienced was a prospective convention client visiting from Baltimore who could not return home because of canceled flights.
