The spring that seems like summer continues after Sacramento had its first 90-degree day of the year on Thursday.
The high Thursday in Sacramento reached 92 degrees. Today is expected to be that warm or slightly warmer. The warming trend has resulted in some above normal Friday morning temperatures. The normal high for May Day is about 77 degrees.
A slight bump in daytime high temperature will probably make Friday the warmest day of the week in Sacramento, according to the National Weather Service. Daytime highs are expected to run about 15 degrees above normal, and records may fall, especially in the northern Sacramento Valley.
The weekend looks more tolerable with afternoon highs in the mid-to-high 80s in Sacramento.
