More delightful summer weather is forecast for Northern California.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of just 80 degrees for Thursday in Sacramento, which is 13 degrees below normal for early July. The high on Wednesday was 85 degrees.
A low pressure system formerly off the west coast has moved over the central part of the state. At the same time, the Delta breeze was blowing cool air from the ocean into the Valley Thursday morning, providing the Sacramento area with morning lows around 60 degrees.
Look for more thunderstorms again in the Sierra and some cloud cover in the Valley. Predicted high temperatures for Thursday:
