Hot weather returns for two days in the Sacramento region.
The maximum temperatures on Thursday and Friday are expected to be in the mid-90s. The Delta breeze is a nonfactor.
As temperatures heat up on Thursday, look for readings in the 90s throughout the Central Valley, according to the National Weather Service. Relief is on the way because Friday night the Delta breeze is forecast to return, according to the NWS.
More seasonable temperatures are predicted for the weekend. On Sunday, the high temperature is predicted to only reach 89 degrees in Sacramento.
The skies should be mostly clear for viewing the total lunar eclipse of a so-called supermoon on Sunday night.
