A Superior Court judge ruled Monday that the city of Sacramento cannot levy administrative penalties on an Occupy Sacramento protester who allegedly violated the city's curfew laws last year at Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Sacramento.

Though she took "full responsibility" months ago, UC Davis Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi detailed for lawmakers Tuesday specific mistakes she made in a campus pepper-spraying incident that sparked national headlines and outrage.
In continuing fallout from the Occupy campus protests at UC Davis, the university has filed a complaint against U.S. Bank, alleging breach of contract.
UC Davis' Academic Senate voted to censure university Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi for the events surrounding the pepper-spraying of students by campus police during tuition protests last November.
Sacramento District Attorney Jan Scully announced Thursday that she will not file charges against 73 of the 77 protesters arrested during March 5 protests at the state Capitol.
