My family flew home to Sacramento Monday evening, after enduring a stressful afternoon with a delayed flight and cranky kids. But as we descended toward the baggage claim area at Sacramento International Airport, we heard the beautiful sound of holiday music. It was the brass section from the Sacramento Philharmonic, stationed there to provide holiday travelers with the lovely, calming sounds of the season. The music put me and my family in a happy mood, and it reminded me of the great service the Philharmonic provides to our community. Thank you to airport officials and those musicians for making holiday travel more enjoyable.
