Re “A green brainstorm means takeout food without the guilt” (Inside Business, Jan. 11): I applaud Scott Thompson's efforts to get Go Box started in Sacramento to lessen Styrofoam usage for takeout foods. Meanwhile, I propose a method that has worked for my family for six years. I keep collapsible plastic containers in my car, and a small, stylish black canvas bag. I carry the containers in the bag whenever I go out. When finished dining, I expand my containers, put in my leftovers and put them in the reusable bag. I have six such containers in my car, and I have never run out. We also support restaurants that use paper boxes for to-go containers. If this seems like too much of a hassle, pay $24 a year for Thompson’s services, help the war on Styrofoam, and live without guilt.
