Re “School board to vote on censure” (Our Region, Jan. 13): San Juan Unified School District trustee Larry Masuoka's response to his failure to use common sense and take any kind of action regarding the reported inappropriate behavior by the former district superintendent is political. When asked what he hoped the school board might do concerning the issue of censoring him, Masuoka said, "I'd like to see us head down the road of how we reconnect to our students and our community. If that's the guiding voice that we use, whatever the outcome is will be helpful." Someone will have to explain to district residents what exactly his statement meant.
