Re “Confront drought by plugging leaks, shutting sprinklers” (Editorials, Jan. 19): I agree totally with the need for all city residents to minimize water consumption. However, I hope that Sacramento businesses will all do the same. Mayor Kevin Johnson now asks to have a sports arena partially paid for by us, the residents. I suggest city officials investigate how much additional drain this project will place on our water supply, accepting the project proponents' rosy predictions as to the development the arena will bring to the area. If the conclusion is what I suspect it will be, perhaps the project should be aborted.
