Re “Apology would appease ex-coach” (Our Region, Jan. 26): As a 15-year-old player of sports, I find it disappointing that a coach would sue his player in such a public way. If the coach wanted his reputation fixed, he should never have sued a child for half a million dollars over such a petty incident. It disappoints me to see someone take legal action over a game. Clearly, in any game, there is always a risk of getting hurt, even if you are the coach. If the coach here is really interested in receiving an apology, he should have started with that request. Hopefully, this matter may yet be resolved peacefully.
