Re “Arena groups sue to get on ballot” (Page A1, Jan. 30): If Mayor Kevin Johnson, City Clerk Shirley Concolino and members of The 4000, which opposes a ballot measure on the arena, are so confident that the new sports arena will be built, then why not allow the voters of Sacramento to decide if a $258 million city subsidy is fine? I believe, as do many others do in this region, that they have stood in the way of democracy entirely too long.
