Re Keystone XL pipeline: President Barack Obama only needs one big reason to reject Keystone XL pipeline--climate change. The environmental impact report concedes that the tar sands oil that would go through the pipeline produces higher carbon emissions than other oil.

But the report says the pipeline would produce fewer emissions than other forms of transporting the oil. How about not transporting the oil at all? The only option to slow climate change is to keep fossil fuels in the ground and transition to renewable energy - which creates more U.S. jobs. Our political and business leaders must support clean, job creating renewable energy sources rather than dirty oil that will be exported for profit at the expense of our climate.
