Re Viewpoints: Court rulings on flawed petitions and what they may signal for arena case (2/2/2014)
I believe it was the 2012 election cycle when I was reading a "Viewpoints" column and came to the bottom, where I found, much to my delight, information about the writer of the column.
In regards to this column, I very much would have liked that info. Who is Tony Quinn? What expertise does he have in legal cases involving petitions that tells me I should take his opinion seriously?
While I trust that the editorial staff of the Bee has vetted this column, as a reader, having such information about the writers of columns sometimes is more informative than the column itself. This is especially vital in the upcoming election season, where the origins of the writer may explain their political affiliations. I understand that print space is constrictive, but the online versions (at least) should have this information.
