Lobbying is costly

Re "In year of costly battles, lobbying firms prospered" (The Buzz, Feb. 4): Lobbying firms brought in more than $177 million in 2013. The biggest spenders on lobbying are oil companies, unions, and health care-hospitals. All of these have inflated costs and we wonder why.
