McKinley Village traffic is an issue

Re McKinley Village: East Sacramento and Midtown neighborhood residents would likely get behind McKinley Village if developer Phil Angelides addressed access issues while also protecting our already overcrowded neighborhood schools from the 144 additional students coming from his subdivision.
Angelides' plan calls for only two access points which will funnel an additional 3,500 cars through narrow neighborhood streets where only one car can pass and children ride their bikes and cross the street on their way to school. A solution is to redirect traffic from these small streets to larger streets that were built for the type of traffic that this project will generate: Alhambra Blvd and Lanatt Street. Addressing access and overcrowded schools would likely provide thousands of angry neighbors with a project they can get behind.
