Re "Better late than never - welcome Mr. President" (Editorial, Feb. 13):
In the two-plus years since we moved to Sacramento, I've developed great respect for the writers, editors and general journalistic quality of the Bee. But I find myself increasingly annoyed by the editorial board's persistent nattering about President Obama's "flyover" relationship with Central California. This is an enormous country, he has hundreds of experts to keep him fully apprised of each region's specific needs and issues, and he has a daily responsibility for mind-boggling challenges of war and peace, economic and ecological crises, and fundamental human rights - among many others. Your persistent criticism in this regard reads like that of a petulant, jilted adolescent. Personally I'd like to see him stay focused on the priorities where he can have significant impact himself and leave the flesh-pressing to someone else.
