Re "Granite Bay women fights for her life" (Page A1, Feb. 15): This a tragedy unfolding with only a glimmer of hope. People from all over the world are praying for this lady as she lies on her death bed at Kaiser.
I am sure she is getting the very best care and the very most expensive care offered by modern medicine. The article notes her family history of shunning an H1N1 flu shot.
From protection from genital herpes to this flu, the public too often ignores the easy protection that vaccinations offer. Sure, there are some problems, but they are trivial compared to a death bed. We all wish this patient well, but know vaccinations really work.
