Buying shirts doesn't help

Re "Utah mom buys 'indecent' shirts" (Page A6, Feb. 19): While I share the values that motivated Utah resident Judy Cox to buy out all those shirts with the sexy images, I'm afraid her gesture is futile.
When the company's bean-counters look at the next sales report, all they will see is how well that design sold at that store. They won't know why.
And if Cox intends to return the shirts, they'll just end up back on the store shelves again, if not in Orem, Utah, then somewhere else.
