Re "Political theater can be good for the soul" (Editorials, Feb. 28): Does anyone really wonder why when Sen. Rod Wright, who was found guilty of a crime, is allowed to take a paid leave, and another senator, Ron Calderon, who faces more serious legal charges, are asked to resign?

Why have they not been expelled? Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg is more concerned about keeping his super majority than maintaining integrity in the Senate.

This is appalling. Steinberg should be more concerned about representing the people of California that protecting cronyism. Maybe he should also be asked to resign.
