Breton on colonoscopy screenings

Re "A colonoscopy may scare you but it could also save your life" (Marcos Breton, Feb. 26): I would like to thank Marcos Breton for his report on the necessity of regular colonoscopy screenings. I have personally been involved with colorectal cancer in my family and we are in the higher risk group. We spread the word for screenings as much as possible and with the assistance of The Bee more people will get the word.
I have had the test many times. The prep for it is the worst part of the procedure. A colonoscopy is nothing to be frightened of when you consider the risks of not having one. And the entire journey is no more painful than reading the usual Marcos Breton opinion piece.
