Re "2 shot to death by officers" (Our Region, March 3): When are the so-called protectors going to be noticed for the use of brutal power?

It's understandable that the cops may feel like they're in harm's way. But that's part of the job. There is no reason a woman should lose her life for theft, even though she may have rammed a police vehicle.

Perhaps if the officers had aimed for tires instead of the woman, she would be alive today. Being 17 years old, I worry about exactly how powerful police officers are becoming.
