Sacramento is within $3 million of building a new performing arts complex in the heart of midtown. B Street Theatre is one of the gems in our city's ascending arts scene. It is one of the few arts organizations in our region that has been self-sufficient for more than two decades.

Each year, tens of thousands of children experience B Street's professional theater which educates, entertains and inspires. In addition to the art form, the new B Street will be a huge economic driver. Already attracting 100,000 visitors annually to its current location, moving the theater the heart of midtown will be a boon for surrounding businesses.

The opening of the new Crocker signaled the start of our city's cultural renaissance. That movement continues today with B Street's appeal to raise the final $3 million needed to break ground in 2014 on a new cultural landmark.
