Republicans didn't support Obamacare

Re "Health plan is GOP's baby" (Letters, March 12): Mark Dempsey of Orangevale wrote that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is a "thoroughly Republican proposal."

I've been reading your paper for years, and have never seen such a bizarre statement in print. I suppose this is where I should remind that there was not a single Republican vote in either the House or the Senate in support of Obamacare.

Seems to me now that Obamacare is failing badly, the liberal community has begun to blame the conservatives. How predictable.
