Re "Brown's new rail pitch:Get old people off the road" (Capitol & California, March 19): As a working, taxpaying and voting senior, I take offense to Jerry Brown's statement that I should be sitting in a nice train car, working on my iPad and having a martini and shouldn't be driving on the road.
The governor needs to choose his words more carefully. It is his legacy that he should be concerned with, rather than getting old people who shouldn't be driving off the roads. It truly amazes me when politicians speak without thinking and will say anything to sell their own agenda.
