Re "Dangerous court decision on concealed guns must be reversed" (Viewpoints, March 26):

Have I been asleep like Rip Van Winkle? Have thousands of licensed concealed weapons holders been on a rampage in California? Catherine Stefani cites 18 people shot in a single weekend in Sacramento. Did any of the shooters have a valid concealed carry weapon? A 10-year-old boy was wounded in Los Angeles. Was it because a valid CCW holder was shooting wildly?

In fact, does Ms. Stefani know of any unjustified homicides in California committed by a CCW holder? I suggest the leader of the California chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America do some more research and discover the real cause of violence in California. Guns are merely a tool, which in the right hands can save lives of children and the innocent. Ms. Stefani should take the CCW course before she gives her opinion regarding who should and who should not have a concealed firearm.
