Re "Council looks at a return to weekly pickup of recycling" (Our Region, March 26): It is encouraging to see the Sacramento City Council respond to a flood of phone calls from constituents concerning the frequency of recycling pickup.

Perhaps those city voters who bothered to sign petitions to have a say in any general fund-related subsidy for the downtown arena should overwhelm City Hall with phone calls. Maybe then, the council would be more responsive to city voter's concerns.
