Another criminal suspended with pay

Re "FBI details Yee's gun offer" (Page A1, March 28): Yet another legislator gets suspended with pay, pending a trial.

I get it: innocent until proven guilty, but how about suspending their pay, and if proven innocent, pay them back retroactively? We taxpayers are getting the short end of the stick. These senators have lots of evidence against them and are still getting a paycheck.

Would a normal citizen get this same treatment? Too many of our government workers think they are entitled.
