Where'd the oil come from?

Re "McClellen host crude oil transfers" (Page A1, March 29): I have to ask if all of the crude oil is really from North Dakota's and Canada's Bakken Shale, or is some of it at least from Canada's tar sands? How will agencies deal with a tar sands crude spill?

As the oil companies play fast and loose with laws and regulations, the only officials who seem to know anything about this accident waiting to happen is Gov. Jerry Brown. Guess it pays to be bought and paid for by the gas and oil lobbies.
