Hi guys, I am Riley McConnell from Elk Grove. I am in 6th grade and a Boy Scout. I am working on the Communication Merit Badge. One of the requirements for the Merit Badge is to write to the editor of a magazine or local paper to express your concern or share information on any topic you choose. I read an article in the Los Angeles Times where there are many kids just throwing away a lot of their food to go get junk food because the school lunch was not good. I think a solution is to not make people get both a fruit and a vegetable but instead offer it and if they want it they can take it. I think that it could save the school and overall a little bit of the country's money this way. Thank you for all of your time.
