Re "McKinley Village proposal creates traffic fight with neighbors" (Page A1, April 3): This property has been planned for urban development for over two decades. The McKinley Village plan is consistent with the City of Sacramento and region policies to encourage infill projects. It provides high-quality homes close to jobs, shopping and schools.
The City's environment and traffic studies determined the project would have no significant impacts. Traffic works well with the two access points required by the city, and McKinley village will bring over 150 million of investment into our city, creating jobs and taxes.
Unlike Township 9, the Rail Yards and Curtis Park, McKinley Village has not and will not receive any public funding.
McKinley Village is an important test of our commitment to support infill development and curb sprawl.
