Painkiller addiction serious issue

Re "FDA panel rejects combination pain pill" ( April 22): I agree with the decision of the FDA panel to vote against the approval of Moxduo. Addiction to painkillers can happen to anyone, and we should decrease the chances of that happening as much as we can.
Can you believe three out of four prescription overdose related deaths are caused by painkillers? Moxduo would only add to that statistic. If patients feel taking a smaller dose of two pain pills prevents side effects, they may feel that it's OK to take more of the drug, therefore leading them down that road of addiction.
I also urge the FDA to reject the distribution Moxduo. I believe the intentions of QRxPharma are good, however if the benefits have not been proven, there should be no reason to have another product for people to potentially overdose on.
