Fark-to-fork food isn't actually healthy

Re "Obama aide at farm-to-fork forum" (April 23): To promote slow-cooked meat, dairy and eggs as healthy foods is criminal. We need to promote plant-based foods in tasty ways to help stop obesity in America. Saturated fat, cholesterol meats, dairy and eggs are the No. 1 source of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes no matter how slow you cook it.
This can be a true health event by serving delicious plant-based lasagna, soups, salads, baked potatoes, whole grains, and veggies and stopping the fiberless, cholesterol laden animal products from killing ourselves and our children.
We don’t get heart disease, obesity or diabetes from plant foods, only animal products. Please take animal flesh and their secretions off the menu. Every human will regain health and no animals will be harmed if you stop this guise of promoting animal products as health food.
