Re "Who pictured this as a residential zone?" (Letters, May 1): Michael Welch questions who pictured McKinley Village as a residential zone. Take a look at Northern Curtis Park: It has Highway 50 to the North, Highway 99 to the East and Railroad tracks at 19th Street on the West.

Curtis Park Village is being infilled into the area from the railroad tracks to Freeport Boulevard, from Portola to Sutterville Road. That's two precedents for this, which is why access to Alhambra Boulevard for McKinley Village is a must.
