Re "Casino mogul bets against Web" (Dan Morain, May 4): As a former casino employee, I am against online poker Why would anyone support a company that has its headquarters on The Isle of Man?

Casinos employ many people, and I was a happy working at a casino in Mississippi. Employees got many benefits, like large discounts on shows like Cirque de Soleil.

I go to a local casino every so often. I bring a certain amount of cash, and if I lose, I quit. I always enjoy their food, and there are discounts for seniors. Bringing gambling in my living room via Internet would be a very bad idea. Paying the local casino a visit is an event that my wife and I enjoy. There is also a free bus that goes there.
