Re "No denying it: Climate change is here - and now" (Editorials, May 9): Your editorial on climate change was a welcome recognition of mankind's problematic future. And it brings to mind a nagging question: How many clues do fools need to perceive the obvious?
The symptomatic problems we face -- climate change, aquifer-ocean toxicity, ecological destabilization, forest depletions, looming food and water scarcities, etc. -- are all due to one fundamental cause none of our leaders are willing to contemplate: human overpopulation.
Either we confront this Terminator-level problem ourselves, or Mother Nature will do it for us.
