Re "California's leaders shrug off Toyota move" (Editorial, April 30): Toyota's relocating as tactical decisions is logical to promote Texas' economy. However, for state government to shrug off a move of large proportion is absurd.

Meanwhile in Capitol Hill, a bipartisan continues with emergency unemployment extension unresolved. Sadly, some are still enduring economic distress hope for a lifeline due to the Great Recession.

Congress' refusal to help and bail out Americans is a sad realization of the true nature of politics. People are losing their jobs due to desertions of major companies within the state and taken for granted.

Whether it is within the state or America, relocations of companies must be of concern. Local projects might be accomplished creating new jobs. It might open new opportunities to be temporarily employed. A working class demand for more job opportunities should not remain ignored.
