Let's cover all the candidates

Re "Voters Guide 2014" (May 11): The Bee's Voters Guide 2014 contains useful information for the upcoming statewide primary election. Though third party candidates are excluded from the national presidential debates because the two dominant parties run those, not the League of Women Voters, as used to be the case, I thought our newspaper would at least offer some information about them.
So count me surprised that The Bee also chose to relegate third-party candidates and many others to mere footnotes, rather than covering their positions. The Green candidate for state treasurer (Ellen Brown), in particular, deserves better treatment than this. Brown proposes reviving the California State Bank (AB750), which would save taxpayers millions and obviate the need for a rainy day fund.
Boss Tweed used to say "I don't care who people vote for as long as I can choose the candidates." His spirit lives on!
