There is still kindness in the world

Re "Kindness reminds us of what we all share" (Forum, May 11): Reading William Endicott's article was a reminder for many of us that there are good people in our world. We all need to be reminded of this given all the negative information we are bombarded with in the newspapers, television, etc.

For me, his article holds out a vision for me to emulate and I hope others will as well. It is this kind of understanding of other people and their needs and their willingness to respond, that has the potential for making America the kind of place all of us want to live in and enjoy.
