Re "Jerry Brown withholds judgment of GOP rivals, ignores debate stunt" (Capitol Alert, May 15): I noticed the editorial board didn't ask Gov. Brown a single question about his party's handling of the three Democratic senators, one convicted of a felony and the other two indicted on felonies. No, we don't want to embarrass our favorite governor, do we?

The board always throws soft balls at the governor. They are probably hoping this will be swept under the rug for us to forget.

What about the so called ethics class that lasted one day? Boy, I am sure the attendees were shaking in their boots and learned a lot.

Way to go again, Sac Bee editorial board, for being so tough.
