Re "Pet torturer sentenced to prison - case included assault and a threat" (Our Region, May 17): Thank You, Sacramento Bee, for publishing the above referenced article regarding the conviction and sentencing of Robert Lee Brian for torturing, abusing and killing at least three dogs, as well as torturing, abusing and viciously attacking a third dog to the point of destroying the sight in one eye. It is a well-known fact that this type of behavior has frequently been found in the early stages of serial killers.
Congratulations also to his neighbors for their participation in convicting this sick individual.
While a sentence of 15 years and six months may give Brian time to reflect upon the unimaginable pain and suffering he has inflicted on who knows how many innocent animals, it may also give other such demented individuals something to think about. Good people are watching you. -- Teresa Eagan-Morrison, Diamond Springs
